Animal Abuse Photos On Facebook? Etc.?

Ok, once in a while I'll just be scrolling down my page and find a disturbing picture related to animal abuse. (Not going into detail) These pictures are always saying, like this photo if you're against animal abuse? Or you can save this animal? Umm...it's just a picture, you won't get anything out of it. I'm starting consider this stuff a bunch of spam and try to ignore them the best I can. It's the same thing with the child abuse photos. I thought these were against facebook's policy? Yet, if you send a certain phrase or message in IM, it's considered spam, even when you were telling a friend what this person said to this person? WTFT? Social Media Sites shouldn't be used like this, and yet, you can report it all you want and nothing happens. Facebook does nothing about it. What are your guys' opinions on all of this?
